Hmmn, think the secret is to pick the paper first then colour the image, not the other way around!
Chose a couple of sheets of 6 x 6 paper from the Serif Picnic in the Park paper stack. This pack of paper came free with one of the magazines a while back - very pretty papers.
Coloured the image to highlight some of the colours in the paper, then matted and layered it all together. I also used my Woodware Crafty Edger to cut a border strip to resemble a fence. Am a lot happier with this card, previous one seemed to take forever! lol

I've been told that too, pick your papers first and it does help a lot!
