Bert & Gert's Hearts of Oak Notelets

Am so excited  .... Jason Wilkes, mega talented designer of the fabulous Bert & Gert's range of rubber stamps will be launching brand new stamps at the CHSI Trade show in February. Have seen a sneaky peak of one of the sets and have fallen in love with them already! I have already packed lots of hankies to mop up all the drool when I see them in the flesh ... really can't wait.

If anyone else is lucky enough to be going, please pop along to see him on the Personal Impressions stand and say hello.

Anyway as it's the weekend, it's time to craft! So I've been playing with one of the original Bert & Gert's stamp "Hearts of Oak" and have made a set of notelets. The images were stamped with a selection of Th Distress inks and then matted onto co-ordinating card stock.

Apron Notice Board

My lovely friends at Candy Box Crafts very kindly gave me one of their fabulous MDF Apron Notice Boards to have a play around with.

The sample that the guys from CBC made was beautifully painted and then stamped with some stunning Jofy stamps. I wanted to try something a little different so on mine I have used a mixture of papers and cut aparts from the Almanac Collection by Prima.

As with all the other Candy Box Crafts products I have been lucky enough to play with, the apron is super easy to assemble. The mdf is really qood quality with a surface that is perfect for use with any kind of crafting medium.

I added some vintage lace ribbon and a couple of decorated matching notebooks and I hope you will agree that it looks pretty fab!

Back into card making mode ...

it has been way too long since I made any greetings cards, so today I have had my card making head on! Here are another couple of very simple cards made with the Mr & Mrs collection by Best Creation Inc.

Still On My Mission

... to use up some of my older crafty stash before I buy anything new. (Am already creating my wish list though after watching lots of the CHA 2014 videos on YouTube!!!!)  Today's creation is a wedding card using the Mr & Mrs collection by Best Creations Inc.

It's just a very simple matted and layered z-fold card with a couple of Spellbinder die-cuts added.

Love Is In the Air ..... I wish! lol

Am still on my mission to use up my old crafty stash before I can use my new crafty stash.

So this afternoons project was to use up some Bo Bunny 12 x 12 papers and a set of Indigo Blu Folk Art Hearts. Really like the rustic way they have turned out (even with the addition of some bling! lol).

Not sure yet if I will make then into a wall hanging or maybe just put them on the wall separately.

Marion Smith - Nirvana - Mini Album

I have fallen totally in love with everything Marion Smith! I have been dying to get crafty with her new paper collections, so this weekend I have locked myself away in my crafty box room and have had a fabulous time playing!

For the basis of the mini album I used a 6 pocket black G45 Document Wallet. I cut down the pockets to approx. 6.5 inches and used the pieces that were cut off to make additional smaller pockets.

I then went to town using 3 or 4 sheets of Marion Smiths Nirvana collection to decorate each page. As per usual I added glossy accents to highlight certain cut aparts and a few metal embellishment from both my stash and from Marion Smith's Junque and Gems.

Really happy with how it turned out, hope you like it too xx

A Bit of G45 Upcyling

I am trying to look at the everyday things that I normally throw away with different eyes, and see if I can turn some of them into something useful. My first attempts have been with: an empty coffee creamer container from Tesco's, a cheap and very ugly memo block from a charity shop, an old coaster, and some old office storage I was going to throw away.

With the addition of some paper and cut aparts from the G45 Typography collection I have made some useful storage for my craft room. Hope you like them:

Kaisercraft Art Of Life - Pocket Watch Album

After days and days of seeing beautiful teaser photos on the Jones Crafts and Pink Tulip facebook pages, I was very excited to finally purchase one of the beautiful new Kaisercraft collections called "Art of Life".

These new Kaisercraft papers are absolutely stunning,  I loved them so much I had to craft with them straight away. So I rummaged through my crafty stash and came across a fun Want to Scrap 7.5 x7.5 inch chipboard album blank in the shape of a pocket watch.

After almost a whole day of embossing, cutting, punching, gluing and decorating I have ended up with this fun mini album, hope you like it as much as I do.
