Maze Book Two

A slightly more simplistic looking maze book than the one in my previous post. Once again it was made using the new Maze Book kit from Bee Crafty. The papers and die cuts used were from the Fruit Scoop collection by Craftwork cards (also available from Bee Crafty). The front & back covers of the maze book were actually made by using the advertisingng slip from inside the bag of Craftwork Cards papers! The mini images were the perfect size for use on this maze book.
Happy crafting! x

Maze Book & Johnney Depp

This is my first ever attempt at a Maze Book, made with one of the new Bee Crafty Kits, some off-cuts of the Tres Chic collection by Craftwork Cards, a few piccies of Johnney Depp and a little bit of bling from my own personal stash! I am really pleased with the results, so much so I am about to make another one!!

Come see my maze book and lots of other goodies on the Bee Crafty stand at the Craft Show in Worcester on Bank Holiday Monday!

Dad

Not long now until the craft show at the Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Worcester on Bank Holiday Monday - 30th May 2011. I will be helping out once again on the Bee Crafty stand and I am so very, very excited as Bee Crafty have put together some fabulous new kits and will  be demonstrating some of them at the show.

I have put together a couple of card ideas, which (subject to management approval!) will also be coming to the show. One of the ones I have made is the Dad card shown above. The 4 inch basic letters are from a Bee Crafty die cut word kit and were covered with a few of the lovely papers from the Craftwork Cards Tres Chic Collection (which  I believe will be on sale at the show). The letters were decorated with silver buttons, various black ribbons and small 1.5cm mirror squares. These were than attached to basic black card stock with 3D foam.

This card could be used for either a birthday or fathers day - which is fast approaching! On Saturday 4th June 2011,Bee Crafty will be holding some 1hr Fathers Day card making sessions. The sessions only cost £3.00 and include all your materials. The classes are are held in their fabulous workspace at their shop in Bidford, spaces are limited so if you fancy popping along check out the details on their  website - www.beecrafty.net. See you all at the show!

Bee Crafty have launched their wonderful new Paper Roses kits. At only 99p they are a real bargain!
Each kit comes with full (easy to follow) instructions and enough die cut  flower shapes to enable you to make one large rose and one small rose, as shown above on a card I rmade last night.

The Paper Roses kits are available in lots of beautiful colours and will be on sale along with lots of other crafting goodies on the Bee Crafty stand at the Craft Show at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Worcester on Bank Holiday Monday 30th May 2011. Look forward to seeing you all there - just look for the bumble bees!

Gorjuss - Sowing the Seeds

Niece

It is my nieces 1st birthday tomorrow, so I have made her a card using the letters I won in a recent Bee Crafty challenge.

First of all I glued four white cards together (which I had trimmed to just over four inches tall) to make the base of the folded card.

The letters were die cut from basic pink card stock and then decorated in co-ordinating pink papers. The completed letters were then edged in Stickles "Diamond" glitter glue.

Once the glitter glue was dry the letters were then attached to the base card. Three floral embellishments were then added to complete the card.

Trinitage - Kingfisher

As mentioned in my previous post, I discovered a more appropriate way to use the Trinitage decoupage kits. Basically for a 6 x 6 card, you need to make two rectangular boxes.
Cut a a piece of white card measuring 10cm by 12cm.
Make 4 score lines at 2cm intervals along the side of the card that measures 10cm.
Fold your card along the score lines and glue together
Then it is just a case of sticking your cut out images to the side of your rectangular boxes and then attaching the pieces to your card.

Trinitage - Poppies

This  card was made using a Trinitage kit by La Pashe,.

I made it into an easel card but  having done a little reasearch on the internet I have discovered a different (and probably the more appropriate) way to use these type of kits from La Pashe.

As soon as I have made a few more cards I will post the results!

A Productive Night

Last night was a very productive night card-wise, with a total of 8 cards made. The cards were made from die-cut kits 1 & 2 by Creatief Art. Everything you need is in the kit apart from glue. Very quick and easy to make - I just added a bit of Stickles glitter glue to highlight some of the flowers.

QVC Craft Winner

Just a quick post to say that the card shown above was selected at random as a winner by QVC, on their recent Craft Day. Apparently I have won a QVC badge which is in the process of being posted to me. Did buy a couple of craft items from QVC on craft day, but generally find that the prices at my favourite craft shop  -  Bee Crafty - in Bidford Upon Avon, are a lot cheaper.

The Bee Crafty shop is open 6 days a week from 9.30am til 5pm and they also have a superb on-line shop/web-site . News of all the latest offers from Bee Crafty can  be found  at: www.beecrafty.co.uk, on Facebook and  on Twitter - so pop along or log on and have a nosey around - you are sure to find yourself a bargain!

Camper Van Card

It is ages since I last blogged, but actually found time to make a card tonight! I used one of the new Kanban stamps from their vehicle/transport collection. I stamped several images of the VW Camper then coloured the images in with Promarker pens. The VW was then coated in Glossy Accents and left to dry overnight. The images were then matted and layered onto co-ordinating card and paper stock and placed on a large 8 v8 x 8 card.  Am going to attempt a similar card with a VW Beetle - will post the results on here!
