Candy Box Crafts - A5 Lidded Box and a case of mistaken craft identity!!!
It has been so very, very hard for me to keep this box a secret, but now that Candy Box Crafts have launched it I can share it with the world! Yaaaaaay!!!!! The A5 size box is made from 3mm MDF and is very easy to assemble. I chose to decorate mine to match my pen storage crate - so out came the fabulous G45 Typography papers!
My box is on display on the Candy Box Crafts stand - BS37 at the CHSI trade show in Birmingham at the moment, and today (while I was standing there) someone asked the guys at Candy Box Crafts if it was one of Clare Charvill's DT pieces ... I was thrilled to bit when they said no it's one of Debbie's ... such an honor to be on display alongside Clare's amazing projects and so wonderful for someone to think that my box was of equal quality ... I came home on a real high!

Candy Box Crafts - 6.5inch Box Frame
The guys at Candy Box Crafts have done it again with the launch of 3 fabulous mdf box frames in 6 inch, 6.5 inch and 8 inch. The one I got to play with was a 6.5 inch one and as usual the pieces fitted together beautifully due to the precision laser cutting.
I started off by painting the entire frame with Paper Artsy paint in Snowflake. I then chose a selection of white embossed/flittered 12 x 12 papers by Best Creation Inc and covered both the the inside and outside of the frame.
I painted an mdf heart with the Paper Artsy paint in Snowflake, and let it dry before covering the surface in tacky glue and dipping it into a tub of Creative Expressions micro beads. After the beads and glue had dried I then painted the surface again with Paper Artsy paint in Snowflake, followed by a gently brushing with Stardust Stickles.
I used a Memory box die to cut out two mannequins and had great fun dressing them as a bride a groom. It was then just a simple case of attaching all the items to the frame (3D style) using strong glue. I finished off by using a small beaded trim around the edges of the frame attached with double sided red-line tape.
The guys at Candy Box Crafts loved it so much that they popped it straight on the wall at the CHSI trade show in Birmingham today and I was chuffed to pieces hearing all the lovely comments people were saying about it. Gave me a real boost.

A Special Card for a Special Friend
I can't take credit for this card at all as it was totally "borrowed" by the one Gloria Stengel made. In fact the only difference with mine is that I used Indigo Blu stamps to stamp the sentiment on the front and inside. Absolutely loved making this card and it was wonderful to see my friends reaction when I gave it to her this morning. So please that I have again used two stamps that had previously never been out of the packet! Also think I need to do more cards with the insides done. So watch this space ....
