Bee Crafty Challenge No 21 - Key to the Door
Once again I have left it too late to make a card for this weeks Bee Crafty challenge. One of my excuses is that I was busy helping out at the Craft Show at the Birmingham Motor Cycle Museum on Saturday. I had a great day with Bev and Sam from Bee Crafty and made a few people smile with our Bumble Bee accessories. The craft show at the motor cycle museum is going to be a regular event, so if you couldn't make it this weekend look out for future dates and come and say hello.
My second excuse is that I spent all day Sunday trying to tame the jungle that used to be my garden. Sadly the cold winter we had, has killed of most of my plants and shrubs but strangely enough not any of the weeds, brambles or nettles! lol It's almost under control now and I think one more hard push this weekend should have it completely tidied and ready for visitors! lol
So I hope you will all forgive me if I post a picture of something that I made a while ago. Iit's just a little house made out of scraps of felt and material, with the odd button stitched here and there. This was then attached to an old keyring I had laying around. I can't say I thought up the original idea as I made it after seeing it in a magazine, anyway I thought it went well with this weeks challenge theme.
Have a good week everyone.

Bee Crafty Challenge No: 20
I feel really guilty as this card has been thrown together in a matter of minutes, but I so wanted to take part in this weeks Bee Crafty "Spring" challenge so I hope you will all forgive me!
The reason for my lack of quality crafting time this week is that I have been lucky enough to be invited to help out again on the Bee Crafty stand at the Motor Cycle Museum Craft Show this Saturday (9th April 2011) and I have been busy putting a few little ideas together for the show. This will be the 2nd craft show that I have been lucky enough to help out at, and Bee Crafty will once again be showcasing lots of fab crafting products.
If you are free on Saturday between 10am and 4pm, and you fancy having a mooch around the Bee Crafty stand it would be really great to see you all at the show! Just look out for the Bumble Bees!

Welly Boots
A couple of weeks ago you may remember, I purchased a Wellington Boot clear stamp by Woodware, (from Bee Crafty in Bidford upon Avon) and went crazy making lots of wellington boots. Up until today I did not know what I was going to do with my collection of boots, but whilst sorting through my hand crafted greetings cards I came across a card that I wasn't really happy with. So I took it apart and reworked it using two of my wellies that just happened to feature the same paper. (The paper was from a Forever Friends 6 x 6 paper pack called "Just For Him") I must admit I am quite pleased with the result. So much so it has inspired me to use the other boots I have made. So as usual watch this space!

Bee Crafty Challenge 18 - Cheltenham Festival
This weeks challenge was based on the Cheltenhma festival, so I dug out some Paper Nation Decoupage pages and some horse themed paper and put these quick card together. I must make an effort to start my challenge cards much sooner in the week!

New Stamp Two ...
This is another of my new Woodware Clear Stamps - A Gerbera Flower. I used a Wild Honey Ranger Distress Ink, to distress a piece of cream card. (This was my first ever attempt at distressing) Then I stamped two gerbera images onto the card and cut one of the images out. I removed a few of the petals and then gently bent the petals back to give a bit of depth, The second image was then attached to the first using 3d foam, and the centre of the flower was filled in with glossy accents. A light dusting of gold glitter was added to the petals and hey presto I had a Gerbera! I plan to make lots more of these flowers in bright colours and then use them to make a card - I will post a piccie once I have made it!
Just One Of My New Stamps
Just had to share piccies of my favourite new stamp - It's a Wellington Boot Stamp by Woodware (available from Bee Crafty in Bidford). The stamp is just over four inches tall and is so easy to personalise. Just stamp your image onto plain card and colour in with your Promarkers or Distress Inks, or just simplystamp your image onto patterned card or paper and cut out the various sections to decorate your boot. I haven't decided what kind of greetings card I will make out of these as yet, but what I do know is that I will have fun making them!

Button Fairy Butterfly
Something a little different this time for the Bee Crafty Tatty/Button Challenge - a Button Fairy Butterfly! I just simply threaded a few spare beads and buttons of various sizes onto thin wire and bent into the desired shape. I then added a pair of pale blue acetate fairy wings and some blue adhesive gems.
I'm not sure as yet if I will use this as a card embellishment as it is a little large (6 inches). I may make some more in different colours and use them to create a mobile - think they would look nice dangling free on different lengths of pretty co-ordinating ribbon. What do you think? Good luck in the challenge everyone.

Tatty Button Bee Crafty Challenge
A quick and easy card with buttons as a theme for the Bee Crafty challenge, in celebration of the launch of the eagerly awaited Tatty Button range of stamps. Can't wait to get to the shop this weekend to see (and purchase) the new stamps in the flesh.

Cherry Cupcake
Just had to use my last new Wild Rose - Cherry Cupcake stamp and paper to make this last card. Have spent the whole weekend crafting and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. Looking forward to my crafting crop on Sunday (6th March) at Bee Crafty in Bidford. Rumour has it there is going to be a home made cake! Yum! Yum!
