Movement Card Swap
The theme for the September card swap was a card that moved that was made especially for our swap partner. I chose to make a shutter card after seeing a tutorial on you tube. After contacting my swap partner I found out amongst other things that her favorite colours were purple, bottle green and turquoise, and I just happened to have some really lovely Kaisercraft papers that I thought would be a perfect match for her. As usual I was having so much fun that I got a bit carried away and made a extra goodies to go with the card. Hope you like them:

The Shaving Foam Technique
A couple of weeks ago, I popped into the Candy Box Crafts unit, to have a lovely crafty catch up with my pal Roy. Whilst there he showed me a selection of amazing cards that he had made using the shaving foam technique that he had learnt at a recent workshop with Pauline Butcher,
Well I was so impressed that I wanted to have a go myself, so I went straight to Tesco's and bought a can of their value shaving foam for 25p and a small baking tray.I squirted some shaving foam into the tray and then added a few pumps of Dylusions ink on top of the foam. I then used a wooden BBQ skewer to gently swirl the ink around. Once I was happy with the swirls I pressed a piece of card onto the top of the ink and lifted it off after a few seconds. After removing the excess foam you are left with beautiful swirly patterns, one of which I have used to make the card below.
Thanks Roy for inspiring me once again xx

Cascade Card Swap
The theme for the August card swap was a "cascade card made without using the colours: Pink, Blue, Orange, Yellow or White and without the use of Butterflies or Flowers. I thought I was really going to struggle as a) I had never made a cascade card before and b) how was I going to cope without using some of my favorite colours and elements?
Once again I watched a lot of very useful videos tutorials on YouTube and managed to make the base card. They are a lot easier than they look to make.
I used a selection of papers and cut aparts from the Graphic 45 Magic of Oz collection to decorate the card and was quite pleased with how it turned out.
I also made a tag mini album to go with the card.
The photographs below are courtesy of the wonderful Bibiana Cameron who was my swap partner and who kindly gave me permission to use her amazing pictures! Thank you once again Bibiana. Hope you like it xx
