Candy Box Crafts - A5 Lidded Box and a case of mistaken craft identity!!!

It has been so very, very hard for me to keep this box a secret, but now that Candy Box Crafts have launched it I can share it with the world! Yaaaaaay!!!!! The A5 size  box is made from 3mm MDF and is very easy to assemble. I chose to decorate mine to match my pen storage crate - so out came the fabulous G45 Typography papers!

My box is on display on the Candy Box Crafts stand - BS37 at the CHSI trade show in Birmingham at the moment, and today (while I was standing there) someone asked the guys at Candy Box Crafts if it was one of Clare Charvill's DT pieces ... I was thrilled to bit when they said no it's one of Debbie's ... such an honor to be on display alongside Clare's amazing projects and so wonderful for someone to think that my box was of equal quality ... I came home on a real high!

Any shop owners who are interested in the Candy Box Craft items, if you click on the link on my blog it will take you straight to the CBC website.

Any crafters who are interested in purchasing MDF items, Pink Tulip Creations stock the full range and offer a mail order service (no on-line shop as yet) . Pink Tulip will also be selling Candy Box Craft products at the Craft show at the 3 counties show ground in Malvern from the 27th February through to the 1st March

The badge was sent to me by G45 when I won their September  13 Up-cycling challenge

G45 A Ladies Diary Notelet Box

The guys a Candy Box Crafts have designed another stunning MDF creation - a Notelet box. (although it could be used for anything!) The kits are made from the best quality MDF and come flat packed ready for you to simply assemble and decorate.

I chose the G45 Ladies Diary collection for my notelet box and added some beautiful lace trim on the inside and outside. I fussy cut a few of the Ladies Diary images and added these to the inside. I also added one to the G45 stickers to the top of the box and edged it with tiny adhesive pearls.

To finish off I added four small wooden knobs to the bottom of the box to make feet, these were coloured with Aquamarine Treasure Gold. I also made a few simple notelets to match. My photos don't really do this box justice as the colours are so delicate in the flesh.

If anyone is interested in purchasing this kit or doing a workshop to make this box (in a different colour way) then the amazing Clare Charvill will be teaching a workshop at Pink Tulip Creations, Spernal Ash nr Studley, Warwickshire on Saturday 11th January 2014.

Please click on the Pink Tulip link on the right and go to the workshop section for more details.

Graphic45 French Collection and Prima Doll Stamp Tag

This months challenge Ali-Craft is to create something using one of the Prima Doll stamps.

I have combined one of my favourite doll stamps with the some of fabulous French Collection papers , cut-a-parts and chip board elements from Graphic 45.

I inked all the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink then did a little simple matting & layering onto black cardstock. Then finally added a little glossy accents to the small chipboard elements and some stickles to the centre of the sunflowers

Am so happy with how it turned out that I may make some more using other Graphic 45 collections ... so what this space! lol

Graphic 45 Steampunk Gift Boxes

I needed to use up all the bits of paper left over from my G45 workshop, so I painted some boxes (appro x 2.5inches by 7 inches) with black acrylic paint then went to town decorating them inside and out. Am really pleased with them. Not sure what kind of treat will go inside as yet (well Halloween is a while away!) but will think of something suitably spooky.

Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells Folio Album

Had a fabulously crafty day yesterday at another Graphic 45 workshop with the brilliantly talented Clare Charvill. The project we made this time was a beautiful folio album with rounded corners,
flippy out pages and decorated with the gorgeous Steampunk collection from Graphic 45.

Mine is still a work in progress as I need to add a few more bits and pieces to it, but I thought I would share a few photos of it with you:

French Country 8 x 8 Album in a Box

I had the most amazing day at a Graphic 45 workshop with Clare Charvill recently. It was the first workshop of Clare's that I attended and it certainly won't be my last (in fact I have already reserved a place at the next one in August). I met a wonderful group of fellow Graphic 45 addicts and came home thoroughly inspired.

Details of Clares workshops can be found on her blog at: http://mycreativespirit.blogspot.co.uk/

The project for the day was an 8 x 8 album in a box made with the gorgeous French Country collection, and here are a few pictures of what I created:
