My Wonderful New Promarker Storage

Those of you who know me, know I love my Promarker Pens and Crafty Storage. I am so happy to now be able to share the news about a fabulous new MDF storage item created by the guys at Candy Box Crafts.

This fabulous pen storage caddy is made out of high quality precision cut MDF. It comes flat packed and like all the other Candy Box Craft kits is very easy to assemble. It hold up to 200 pens and is a dream to transport to crops/craft clubs.

I used the Typography Collection by Graphic 45 and a few brass butterflies to decorate the the outside and simply painted the inside with Fresco "Little Black Dress" paint. With my Promarker's  being regularly pulled in and out I thought paint would be the most sturdy/accident proof option.

Hope you like the piccies! And if you would like to buy a kit please feel free to contact Pink Tulip via the link on my blog xx

Gated Box for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Lots of you are probably aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month but what you may not know is that the Breast Cancer Care charity is the charity closest to my heart as I lost my mum to the disease in 2004. I try to raise money for the charity through sales of my greetings cards and crafty projects.

So having been given a few of the wonderful MDF creations  to play with by Candy Box Crafts. I thought I would decorate another gated box in memory of my mum and to help  raise awareness..

The box was painted in "Nougat" paint by Fresco and then decorated in a selection of papers from Bo Bunny. Each of the nine compartments was then filled with things that reminded me of my mum. The gates were also painted in the same paint and then covered in Stampendous Shaved Ice.

Thanks again to Roy and Steve of Candy box Crafts for letting me play with your amazing MDF creations. All of which can be purchased from Pink Tulip Creations in Spernal Ash nr Studley in Warwickshire. Direct links to both Candy Box Crafts and Pink Tulip can be found to the right of my blog.

Happy crafting and ladies don't forget -get your boobies checked regularly ... the earlier something is found, the better chance you have of a full recovery xx

Bert & Gert's - Ready, Steady Go - Passport Holder

I was inspired by a recent blog post by Jim the fabulous "Gentleman Crafter, where he made several passport, ticket and credit card wallets for his friends. So I just had to have a go myself and I decorated it in lots of stamped images from the fabulous "Mod" stamp collection from Bert & Gert's (click on the image to the right of this post and it will take you to the Bert & Gert's website)

Jim very kindly put an instruction sheet together for the wallets and here is the link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Byw1jq858UATcEFwbDBQcUlZVDA/edit?usp=sharing

I used a selection of Teresa Collins papers to cover my chipboard wallet and then punched out the fab Bert & Gert stamped images with a circle punch. I used several small (strong) magnets to close the various pockets and flaps and I will admit I do like to hear the snap of the magnets as they close!.
Hope you like it - happy crafting

Bert & Gert's - Design Team and Coasters ...

I am really happy to be able to announce that I am now part of the official Bert & Gert's Design Team. Thank you Jason Wilkes for letting me join your Bert & Gert family, I am really looking forward to the crafty adventures we will have together!

Keen stampers amongst you may have seen Bert & Gert's first two stamp sets: "Hearts of Oak" and "Mod" in the latest edition of Craft Stamper magazine.

The un-mounted stamps are made from high quality grey rubber and measure A5 in size. I have had my first play with them today and have found that they leave a perfect impression every time.

My very first DT project is a set of four 4 x 4 drinks coasters, made using just three of the ten stamps that are in the "Mod" set.

I used Memento inks in Nautical Blue and Ladybug and stamped the various images onto white sticky-backed vinyl. I then stuck the vinyl to four drinks coasters and if I say so myself I am very pleased with the result!

The stamp sets can be purchased on-line at:

9 Fabric Xmas Cards

I purchased a fabric Xmas card kit from C&C about a week ago and have managed to find some time to have a play. Each fabric topper is approx. 3 x 3 inches square and I added some stickles to give them some essential festive bling.  Here are the first 9 (there are enough toppers to make another 18,!)
